ADJUSTMENT

HINT:

Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge to the door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts installed. Substitute the centering bolts with standard bolts when making adjustments.
Specified torque for standard bolts is shown in the standard bolt chart.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR

(a) Check that the clearance measurements of areas a through j are within each standard range.

g	-2.0 to 2.0 mm (-0.0787 to 0.0787 in.)	h	3.85 to 7.85 mm (0.152 to 0.309 in.)
i	1.95 to 5.95 mm (0.0768 to 0.234 in.)	j	2.35 to 6.35 mm (0.0925 to 0.250 in.)

3. REMOVE BAGGAGE HOLDER NET

4. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

6. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

7. REMOVE BACK DOOR UPPER HINGE PROTECTOR LH

8. REMOVE BACK DOOR UPPER HINGE PROTECTOR RH

9. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR

(a) Loosen the 4 door side hinge bolts to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.

(b) Tighten the 4 bolts after adjustment.

Torque:

7.5 N·m {76 kgf·cm, 66 in·lbf}

(d) Using a brass bar and a hammer, hit the striker to adjust its position.

(e) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 striker mounting screws after adjustment.

Torque:

23 N·m {235 kgf·cm, 17 ft·lbf}
