DESCRIPTION The airbag ECU assembly consists of the acceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc. If the airbag ECU assembly receives signals from the acceleration sensor and pressure sensor, it determines whether the airbags and pretensioners should be deployed. These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag ECU assembly.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT HINT: If any DTCs other than B1160, B1161, B1162, B1163, B1164, B1165, B1166 and B1167 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first. PROCEDURE
(a) Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds. (b) Check for DTCs. Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble CodesNOTICE: If only DTC B1160, B1161, B1162, B1163, B1164, B1165, B1166 or B1167 is output, do not clear the DTC, replace the airbag ECU assembly.
