Toyota Avalon (XX50) 2019-2022 Service & Repair Manual: Other System Malfunction (C1A63)

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives accelerator pedal position sensor signals from the ECM to determine if the accelerator pedal is being depressed. If the ECM detects a malfunction in the accelerator pedal position sensor or SFI system, the driving support ECU assembly is notified via CAN communication and stores DTC C1A63.

With the engine switch on (IG), the driving support ECU assembly receives an accelerator pedal sensor malfunction signal from the ECM for approximately 2 seconds or more.

If DTC C1A63 is output by the pre-collision system, perform troubleshooting for the SFI system.
