DESCRIPTION The electronically controlled brake system receives intelligent clearance sonar system information from the clearance warning ECU assembly via CAN communication. When it is determined that there is a communication error between the skid control ECU and clearance warning ECU assembly, DTC C164B is stored.

(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen. HINT: After turning the engine switch from off to on (IG), wait 4 seconds or more before checking for DTCs.
